2º Encontro Brasileiro de Claronistas - Região Nordeste2nd Brazilian Bass Clarinet Meeting - Northeast Region12 a 15 de novembro de 2105Maceió - ALThe 2nd Brazilian Bass Clarinet Meeting is directed especially to bass clarinettists, clarinettists and saxophonists and intends to take ahead the efforts initiated by the first edition of the Brazilian Bass Clarinet Meeting that was held in Poços de Caldas (Minas Gerais – Brazil) in January 2015. In that first meeting, 25 Brazilian professional bass clarinettists (as well as bass clarinet students and clarinettists) was together to play, to give and get lessons and to discuss about Brazilian bass clarinet works. The meeting will be organized by a partnership between Federal University of Alagoas (Music Graduation and Technical Scholl of Arts), SESC AL and Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte to discuss the following subject: “Bass Clarinet in Brazil: history and perspectives”. Under this subject, we intend recuperate the history of bass clarinet in Brazil, evaluate the current context and define strategies to consolidate and develop the works on bass clarinet artistically and academically. The schedule of this edition includes individual lessons, masterclass, workshops, lectures and recitals and will count on renowned Brazilian and international artists.
